There is something about a cruise, which is spectacular. The open sea, the ocean air, it just seems to awaken the soul. Planning for your vacation on a cruise ship, can be tricky. There are so many cruise lines and which type of room you need, might have you baffled. Some of the most popular cruise lines are: Disney, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Holland American, Princess and Norwegian Cruise Lines. While they all get pretty good reviews, depending on what time of year and what cabin you choose, can affect your overall opinion.
The amenities on a cruise line are vast. Most cruise lines come with spas, salons, several pools and casinos. The Norwegian Pearl was the first ship in 2007, to install a bowling alley into their ship. The great thing about a cruise is all the food is included in the price. The only thing that one needs to pay for is tips and alcoholic beverages. When one factors that into the purchase price, a cruise seems even more of a great deal.
Cruise prices vary drastically depending on the room, the season you go in and the length of the cruise. There are four room styles to choose from on a ship they are: inside, outside, balcony/veranda, and suites. Inside rooms do not have a window and outside can have a small porthole or window. An average price is around 800-1000 per person. Cruises are available in 7, 5, 4 and 3 day durations.
Carnival is more of a budget cruise line and you can get a great deal on this ship. Disney tends to be more expensive but the amenities are more geared toward children and are spectacular. Royal Caribbean tends to also be family oriented and most of their ships even have ice skating onboard. Whichever cruise line you choose, one thing is for sure, your family will have a wonderful vacation on the open seas.
